The Ocean Alexander 85 is built on a semi displacement GRP hull and superstructure, a hallmark of Ocean Alexander’s approach to strength, weight efficiency, and long-term durability. With a beam of 20'1" (6.12 m) and a draft of 3’ (1.63 m), she offers both stability and access to shallower cruising grounds—an advantage for owners navigating Florida and the Bahamas. 

The exterior and interior were crafted by Evan K. Marshall, whose design emphasizes clean lines, generous glazing, and a contemporary yet warm interior palette. Naval architect Ed Monk Jr. ensured the hull delivers predictable handling and a soft ride, even in less than ideal conditions.

Inside, the Ocean Alexander 85 accommodates up to eight guests across four suites, offering a layout that balances privacy with social flow. The salon features expansive windows, plush seating, and refined finishes that elevate the onboard atmosphere without feeling overwhelmed.

The staterooms, particularly the full beam master, showcase Ocean Alexander’s commitment to maximizing volume. Thoughtful lighting, high end materials, and meticulous joinery create a sense of understated luxury.

Powered by twin diesel engines driving twin screw propellers, the Ocean Alexander 85 is engineered for reliable long range cruising. While her top speed varies by configuration, she is known to cruise comfortably around 10 knots, supported by her semi displacement hull form.

Her 2,800-gallon fuel capacity and 350-gallon freshwater capacity support extended voyages, while at anchor stabilizers ensure comfort whether underway or moored.

The Ocean Alexander 85 exterior spaces are designed for both relaxation and entertainment. From the teak clad aft deck to the spacious flybridge, guests can enjoy panoramic views, alfresco dining, and open air lounging. A 15' Boston Whaler tender adds versatility for shore excursions and water activities.
